Description:
The 20' Reefer Container is an insulated, temperature-controlled unit designed for transporting perishable goods. Built to ISO standards, it seamlessly fits into container ship cell guides, allowing easy handling across various transport modes. The integrated refrigeration unit ensures a controlled environment, preserving cargo integrity throughout the journey.

During shipping, reefer containers connect to the vessel's power supply, with power packs available for additional capacity. On land, these units rely on terminal power sources or generator sets (gensets) for continued operation.

The refrigeration system circulates cold air from bottom to top, drawing warm air out and maintaining even cooling. The corrugated side walls and grated flooring enhance airflow, preventing hot spots. Proper loading techniques, such as using pallets and leaving adequate overhead space, optimize air distribution and temperature stability.

Additional features include:

  • Fresh Air Exchange – Removes metabolic gases like COâ‚‚ and ethylene, crucial for transporting fruits and vegetables.

  • Temperature Monitoring – Sensors measure supply and return air temperatures, with digital and analog recording options for precise data tracking.

  • Versatile Stowage – Can be stored above or below deck on vessels, with above-deck placement offering better heat dissipation but requiring increased refrigeration capacity.

Usage:

  • Chilled Goods: Fruits, vegetables, dairy products, fresh meat

  • Frozen Goods: Seafood, meat, frozen dairy, pharmaceuticals

  • Specialized Cargo: High-cube variants accommodate bulky yet lightweight goods like flowers and fresh produce

Reefer containers play a crucial role in global cold-chain logistics, ensuring temperature-sensitive cargo arrives in optimal condition.
